Urvashi Aneja

Urvashi was part of the T20 task force on Inclusive digital transformation, that centres its efforts on elaborating recommendations with a view to leveraging digital innovations to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, while ensuring inclusivity and ethical considerations. It aims to influence the work of the Digital Economy Working Group of the G20 Sherpa Track.

She co-authored this policy brief with Lea Gimpel, Daniel Brumund, Alek Tarkowski, Maximillian Gahntz, Vukosi Marivate and Anita Gurumurthy.

In a nutshell, the brief shares steps that the G-20 can take towards democratising AI for the public good, specifically around:

  • Providing public AI Infrastructure
  • Creating, curating, and governing high-value open data sets
  • Developing industry standards for the safe disclosure of model weights
  • Harmonising AI governance for the public good.
